This simple plug-in will change the name of a given URL (be it the website you are browsing, or a link within that website) to a simpler one - the one you can remember - with a TK extension. Besides, the Tweak and Twitter option will send this newly created domain name to your Twitter account (if you happen to have one).
Thus, TK-it! is actually a domain name creator. You are not just giving that elusive URL a new name with a mnemonic, as you would do when adding it to your favorite list and renaming its name tag - you are creating a new domain name. And you can create as many as you need, and completely free. The plug-in installs a new toolbar in your browser and adds two new options to your contextual menu (one - to rename URLs, and the other one - to rename and send to Twitter). The toolbar shows up when activated, but at least with my browser, all I got was a blank toolbar, with no buttons or options you could use.
So, with TK-it! you can now make your own list of new, easier-to-remember domain names to help you access your favorite pages easily and certainly faster. This will save you those extra clicks needed to open a search engine and find the URL you wish to visit.
